  • Overview

     

    Under the direction of the Senior Project Operations Manager, the Project Operations Supervisor oversees the Rebate and Interconnection team responsible for residential interconnection and rebate applications through to permission to operate. This includes hiring, training, motivating, coaching and performance management. The Project Operations Supervisor acts as a liaison between sales and operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively lead and manage the interconnections and rebate team
    • Become expert of utility rebate and interconnection programs and guidelines in order to process Rebate and Interconnection packages
    • Maintain and report on department Key Performance Indicators
    • Drive department goals to completion
    • Participate in driving proactive activity by creating visibility, identifying risks, being solution oriented, obtaining clear handoffs and providing regular updates, especially in sensitive utilities
    • Drive departmental efficiency and identify areas of weakness and recommend solutions
    • Assist in creating and documenting cross-departmental processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
    • Recommend solutions for inter-departmental issues and see them to resolution
    • Use data to identify common issues and develop suitable solutions inside and outside of the department
    • Serve as a power user for technology used. Power user responsibilities include process development, promotions of best practices, and serving as a point of reference for all related topics
    • Document and relay departmental and companywide changes that impact team goals
    • Research rebate and interconnection programs for other states to help with new market development
    • Develop and maintain a strong professional relationship with the Sales and Operations teams

    Qualifications

    • Four year college degree and 4 year related work experience; or 5 years related experience
    • 1-2 years of direct people management experience
    • Must be a highly adaptable, self-directed, independent thinker
    • Acute awareness & ability to manage to deadlines
    • Propensity to follow through and drive toward resolution
    • Highly organized and process oriented
    • Proficient with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Possess a positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills 
    • Detail oriented with the ability to understand key business concepts
    • Good analytical and structured problem solving skills
    • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to rapidly evolving business processes
