    Product Managers at Sunrun play a critical role in our success by collectively owning and evolving our industry leading third party owned and customer owned solar products. As a Product Manager at Sunrun, you will focus on continuously improving your product and delivering new consumer-focused solutions to create additional value for Sunrun and our customers.  You will leverage consumer insights, market needs and go-to-market strategy to fine-tune your offering. In addition, you will define and evaluate new product offerings, coordinate cross-functional market launches, define success metrics, diligently track key metrics and improve new products over time.


    The central focus of this role will be to expand and scale our battery storage offering. To do so, you will work closely with a variety of business functions ranging from Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and Technology & Engineering Teams and coordinate execution across these functional groups. The Product Manager role is among the most challenging and rewarding. We are looking for a highly talented and driven individual who is excited to take on this challenge.


    • Own our hardware offerings end-to-end, from strategy to execution, and make this product the best in the industry, improving value for Sunrun and our customers
    • Drive new product launches in collaboration with a wide range of functional groups
    • Diligently manage products using metrics driven approach and continuously drive improvement in these metrics
    • Lead various qualitative and quantitative customer research to better understand customer perspectives and refine insights
    • Develop hypotheses to improve products and lead in-market tests, often with sales teams, to prove or disprove hypotheses
    • Serve as the champion of Sunrun customers, understand their needs/aspirations in detail through qualitative and quantitative means and use the insight to actively improve our products
    • Evangelize products, strategy and roadmap with various functional groups across Sunrun (particularly with sales) and drive excitement
    • Ensure messaging of key product features, processes, expectations, performance, etc. is accurate, clear, and delivered consistently across departments
    • Stay up to date on changes to our industry and business processes, identify impact of changes on all processes, materials, and messaging, and work with departments to ensure changes are absorbed

    • Analytical skills: can build robust models and analyze vast quantities of data to unearth most important insights; advanced Excel capabilities required
    • Learning and continuous improvement mindset: actively solicits feedback to improve self; proactive about improving product by always generating hypotheses and validating hypotheses
    • Attention to detail: pays attention to the specifics, in terms of process, customer experience or detailed metrics to deliver on product outcomes
    • Communication: listens for meaning, translates concepts effectively and is articulate with both verbal and written communication; can command a room full of business leaders and drive outcomes
    • Adaptability: adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions; anticipates and copes effectively with the complexity of change
