  • Overview

    Pricing Managers at Sunrun play a critical role in our success by collectively owning our business’ top line.  In addition to managing the profitability of the portfolio, you will focus on defining and executing cross-functional strategic initiatives to create additional value for Sunrun and our customers.  You will leverage consumer insights, market needs and go-to-market strategy to fine-tune your offering. In addition, you will help define and evaluate new product offerings, coordinate cross-functional market launches, define success metrics, diligently track key metrics and improve new products over time.

    As a Pricing Manager, you will work closely with a variety of business functions ranging from Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and Technology & Engineering Teams and coordinate execution across these functional groups. The Pricing Manager role is among the most challenging and rewarding. We are looking for a highly talented and driven individual who is excited to take on this challenge.


    • Diligently manages pricing using metrics driven approach and continuously drives improvement in these metrics
    • Distill marketplace feedback (sales, category experts, competitors) into coherent market specific pricing strategies; collaborate with sales & marketing leaders to develop and execute to our go-to-market pricing and product strategies
    • Analyze current and new product offerings, market opportunities, competitors and business models; drive towards recommendations on competitive actions
    • Own pricing initiatives end to end from strategy to execution and has a mission to improve value for Sunrun and our customers
    • Lead proactive and educational communication and coordination of pricing initiatives to internal teams in a professional and consultative manner
    • Leads various qualitative and quantitative customer research to better understand customer perspectives and refine insights
    • Serves as the champion of Sunrun customers, understands their needs/aspirations in detail through qualitative and quantitative means and uses the insight to actively improve our understanding of pricing
    • Evangelizes pricing, strategy and roadmap with various functional groups across Sunrun (particularly with sales) and drive excitement
    • Stays up to date on changes to our industry and business processes, identify impact of changes on all processes, materials, and messaging, and work with departments to ensure changes are absorbed


    • SunRun is a world-class team. We are seeking world-class candidates with demonstrated success in launching and managing products
    • Has 4 or more years of experience in a finance, product, or operating role, preferably in a world class tech company/start up, top tier consulting firm or a solar company
    • Experience developing, executing, and owning end-to-end cross-functional initiatives
    • Demonstrated excellence in qualitative empathy driven customer research, rigorous data based analysis, business case building and A/B testing required
    • Solar industry experience and understanding of solar products desired but not required
