In this position, you will be the face of our company, and the voice of safety. The Safety Coach directly supports the installers whose hands assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on our customers’ roofs. Safety Coaches are supported by a comprehensive team of professionals that are devoted to making our employees successful.
The Safety Coach is responsible for coaching field operations and sales team members to exhibit behaviors and work processes that create a safe work environment. Safety Coaches perform field audits which are an opportunity to learn about the field and coach employees to perform at their best and create safe work behaviors and practices.

A Sunrun Safety Coach is the face of safety for the field installation teams. Here's what you'll do as part of our team:
At least 3 years of experience in general industry, construction, engineering or electrical trade work.
Associates or Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study is a plus.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations for construction and general industry (Federal, OSHA, and the basics of other state programs);
Subject matter expertise in the areas of fall protection, electrical safety, heat illness prevention, safe driving techniques, power tool use and ergonomics.
Be a self motivated team player who strives to make a positive impact on the safe performance and overall success of Sunrun;
Cross-functional partnership skills with human resources, operations, warehouse logistics, and sales staff to drive a culture of safety throughout the organization;
Maintain a high level of professionalism with regard to professional presence, internal communication and customer interaction;
Experience in developing and delivering professional presentations to line employees and leaders
Good knowledge of data analysis techniques and risk assessment;
Familiarity with the insurance industry, specifically Workers’ Compensation claims;
Clean DMV, drug test results, and background check
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work at heights and climb extension ladders and work in attics/crawlspaces and on pitched rooftops
Ability to work safely on construction jobsites, and warehouses
Ability to operate office equipment including computers
Ability to positively interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
Ability to travel commercially on air and road as directed or required
Ability to drive with a clean driving record
