The Strategic Finance & Analytics team is responsible for improving strategic and financial decision-making across Sunrun. We serve as a trusted adviser to the business to help inform and guide decision making through business partner support and insightful analyses. We are shoulder to shoulder and drive to outcomes with our business partners. We are looking for bright, goal-oriented individuals who will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in building and improving processes that will allow the company to scale. The SF&A team believes in scaling via software (we use Anaplan), not headcount. We have built a planning system and process where every function in the organization plans together in real-time on a monthly basis, so there is less time spent exporting data & more emphasis on focusing on what matters. This leads to more opportunities for each member of the team at a company that generates >$1.5B in proceeds and has >200K customers that is fundamentally changing the energy landscape, growing >20% yoy.
The opportunity in this role is to play a lead role in synthesizing the financial story for our CFO and COO. You will be the source of truth for finance management reporting and condense what several finance business partners will provide to you as their individual stories into one punchy output for our leadership, driving insight and focus towards the areas needed going forward. This is the perfect entry point into Sunrun for those with Investment Banking, Consulting, or FP&A experience outside of Solar, as you see everything from the 30,000 ft. view and learn quickly what the most important levers of the business are. Additionally, this role will keep everyone on our team on track during the monthly and quarterly planning calendar, ensuring we submit and close off items when expected, all while proactively communicating any areas of risk or opportunity. Lastly, this role will also drive reporting best practices via newer tools such as PowerPivot, Looker, and our core planning system, Anaplan.

Own the monthly forecast process and management reporting for SF&A – we aim for less than 5% variance of our forecasts vs. actuals (tracking ~2%)
· Summarize financial story into monthly/quarterly reviews with finance business partners and VP SF&A
· Own the management reporting of the financial story for the CFO and COO
· Earn the trust, resulting in strategic projects and advisory opportunities
· Quickly evolve to influencing those same leaders w/ optimizations needed to move the business forward
