  • Overview

    We are looking for a talented Supervisor of Credit Operations to join our Credit team. This skilled credit professional will use their dynamic leadership and management skills to continuously improve procedures, systems and metrics for the department while adhering to credit compliance guidelines. Candidates must have a track record in demonstrable experience in covering risk combined with developing operational services  

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee strategic initiatives and best practices within the Credit team, such as evaluating policies, procedures and systems to improve the customer onboarding processes.
    • Manage day to day operations by organizing workflow, monitoring work assignments, volumes, distribution, and workload to ensure that work is being completed in a timely manner and that expectations are met.
    • Establish strong partnerships with Sales, Operations and third Party vendors.
    • Manage performance and development of direct reports to ensure achievement of organizational and department goals and a productive environment.
    • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of systems, processes and policies to adapt to changes in business requirements, as well as to enhance functionality, flexibility, scalability, and efficiency.
    • Serve as the first contact in escalation path on issues and help to resolve questions that may arise between internal stakeholders as well as third party vendors.
    • Implements short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; and provide input on their effectiveness.
    • Held accountable for departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports.
    • Monitors all activities of the department to ensure that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls company wide are enforced.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Accounting/Finance degree preferred.
    • Must possess 3 or more years of experience in a credit environment.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the various credit agencies and credit scoring models.
    • Knowledge and understanding of Risk and Compliance Management (FCRA, CFPB, GLBA).
    • Underwriting experience preferred.
    • Requires strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and capable to learn new internal and web-based computer systems as needed. Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to decipher various reports and create and maintain reports upon request.
    • Ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines.
    • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
    • Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

     

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to perform normal office duties. Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work. Ability to interact and participate in meetings.
