    The Operations Manager is a leadership position typically covering one or more markets based on volume, construction strategy, and employee headcount in their respective service territory.  The Operations Manager will be ultimately responsible for the Safety, Quality, Cycle Time, Efficiency, Customer Experience, Cost, and Service of the residential solar installation projects that are completed within the service territory via build partner.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, motivate, and mentor a variety of direct and indirect personnel and partners involved in the installation of residential solar projects based on the assigned territory installation volume and construction strategy, which may include: Build Partners, Subcontractors, Service Partners, Coordination Team personnel, Technical Team personnel
    • Adaptability is required. Depending on territory volume and construction strategy, the Operations Manager will need the ability to actively support the following tasks; site surveys, permitting, project scheduling, inspections, performing warehousing functions, and completing service calls
    • Work closely with the Project Coordination Team to ensure the successful execution of the construction schedule
    • Understand and manage operational performance to KPI targets and actual results
    • Fluctuate resources in line with capacity and performance targets
    • Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Speed, Productivity, can Cost throughout operations
    • Responsible for remote and in-field QA/QC inspections and completion of required feedback loop
    • Complete constructability and additional Scope of Work reviews as required
    • Perform regular job site visits to manage customer experience and escalations
    • Work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to provide accurate installation forecasts and performance reporting
    • Work closely with local sales management to understand sales performance and forecasts
    • Ensure that every member of the branch team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position
    • Ensure that “Best Practices” are being consistently applied throughout the operation
    • Consistently deliver an excellent customer experience
    • Manage the on-site facilities as necessary

    Qualifications

    • State level electrical contracting license required (if required by state)
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred  (preference for technical area of study)
    • 7+ years of related work experience
    • Critical thinking and quantitative skills; comfortable analyzing data
    • Professional experience in the solar industry (design, installation, or service)
    • Project management experience
    • Experienced CRM user (i.e. Salesforce.com)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Proactive and energetic
    • Adaptability and comfort working in unstructured and evolving environment

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to perform normal office duties
    • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
    • Ability to interact and participate in meetings
